How to share documents with iTunes / Finder File Sharing?
You can export documents from DocScan to your computer using iTunes (Windows/macOS Mojave or earlier) or Finder (macOS Catalina and later).
App Side (on your iPhone or iPad)
- Open DocScan, and tap the Settings icon in the upper left corner.
Scroll down and tap iTunes File Sharing to enable access.
Computer Side
🔸For Mac (macOS Catalina 10.15 or later) – Use Finder
- Connect your device to your Mac using a USB cable.
Open Finder.
Select your device in the sidebar.
Click the Files tab at the top.
- Find DocScan in the app list.
- Drag documents from DocScan to your desktop to export them.
🔸For Windows or macOS Mojave and earlier – Use iTunes
Open iTunes on your computer.
- Connect your iPhone or iPad using a USB cable.
Click your device icon.
In the sidebar, click File Sharing, then select DocScan.
- Choose the files you want to export and drag them to your desktop.
Tips
- Make sure your device is unlocked and you tap “Trust This Computer” if prompted.
- All exported documents are stored in DocScan’s shared file section.
