How to share documents with iTunes / Finder File Sharing?

You can export documents from DocScan to your computer using iTunes (Windows/macOS Mojave or earlier) or Finder (macOS Catalina and later).


App Side (on your iPhone or iPad)

  1. Open DocScan, and tap the Settings icon in the upper left corner.
  2. Scroll down and tap iTunes File Sharing to enable access.


Computer Side


🔸For Mac (macOS Catalina 10.15 or later) – Use Finder

  1. Connect your device to your Mac using a USB cable.
  2. Open Finder.

  3. Select your device in the sidebar.

  4. Click the Files tab at the top.

  5. Find DocScan in the app list.
  6. Drag documents from DocScan to your desktop to export them.


🔸For Windows or macOS Mojave and earlier – Use iTunes

  1. Open iTunes on your computer.

  2. Connect your iPhone or iPad using a USB cable.
  3. Click your device icon.

  4. In the sidebar, click File Sharing, then select DocScan.

  5. Choose the files you want to export and drag them to your desktop.

Tips

  • Make sure your device is unlocked and you tap “Trust This Computer” if prompted.
  • All exported documents are stored in DocScan’s shared file section.
