How to Adjust the Image Aspect Ratio of Scans?
You can adjust the aspect ratio (page size/shape) of your scans in DocScan. Here’s how:
For Newly Scanned Documents
- Start scanning.
After capturing, proceed to the next step (the page processing screen).
Tap the Aspect Ratio button at the bottom to open the ratio options.
- You can also tap the arrow in the top right corner of the pop-up to choose a preset size (e.g., "Business Card", "A4").
Adjust the borders to fit the page. Use the orientation button to switch between portrait and landscape.
- Tap OK to apply the changes.
For Existing or Imported Pages
There are two ways to change the aspect ratio for already scanned or imported pages:
🔹 Method 1: Reprocess the Original Image
(Only available if the original image still exists)
- Open the page you want to adjust.
Tap the Edit button in the bottom right. Select either Borders or Filters.
If the original image is no longer available, these options will be disabled. In that case, use Method 2.
Tap Aspect Ratio and adjust as needed.
- Tap OK to apply the changes.
- Tap Save when finished.
⚠️ Note: Reprocessing the original image will remove all previous edits (e.g., signatures, annotations, added text).
🔹 Method 2: Crop and Adjust Manually
- Open the page you want to adjust.
- Tap the Edit button in the bottom right.
Select Crop.
Adjust the crop area and select the desired aspect ratio.
- Tap Next. You’ll see two options:
- Save as a New Page: Keeps the original and adds the cropped page as a new one.
- Copy: Places the cropped result into your clipboard. You can paste it elsewhere.
